Ocean City
I am in a city on the edge of the ocean. I'm very high up a in a tall building, looking out over the city. I see many buildings of very diverse design, cold, blue, gray, steel and glass fingers stretching high into the sky, and yet I still look down on them. I can see the ocean and the ocean envelops a square, large, plain, concrete pavilion.
This is Randy's apartment, and his wife and kids are here. There are many other people here as well, that I do not know. People in the apartment are made up of many races of the world. Randy suggests we get down to the city pavilion.
Later... We are at the city Pavilion. I can look out into the ocean, and looking around I can see evidence at the far edges of the city that we are located somewhere down south, and far far into the future. The city comes around the pavilion in a half crescent. On the ocean I see someone on a jet ski.
The person on the jet ski is my brother, it is a larger jet ski and he has someone with them but I can't make that person out because he is so far away. I talk with Randy for a little while, and the party has come down with us. I soon lose Randy as he mingles in the crowd.as the chatter of conversation grows on the pavilion, so do the waves in the ocean. My brother sees me and beckons to me. He turns the jet ski towards me. The waves are still growing, and very quickly my brother is navigating 50 foot towers of water. I lost him in a trough. I dive into the water and swim towards him, my arms and legs furiously pumping. A 50 foot tower of water rises slowly before me. I stare straight up into this frothy, blue-green, wall that blots the sky. Its motion pauses longer than it should. Now it comes crashing down. I take a gasping breath, and am thrown deep into the body of the ocean, spinning and tangled in my own limbs. The light is so faraway, and I have lost my direction.
